The area along Zhongtiao Mountain is the base for the cultivation of Dahongpao Sichuan peppers, which has become one of the largest producing areas of peppers in China. Dahongpao Sichuan pepper has strong adaptability and grows well in Ruicheng county. Its fruit is compact in shape with big grain, thick meat, colorful color and strong flavor, which can be stored for a long time without losing the flavor. It has no slag after grinding and blending, is the best condiment and has the effect of dispelling cold and aphrodisiac. Since being named as "the Hometown of Chinese Sichuan Peppers" by the Ministry of Forestry in 2000, Ruicheng has expanded the planting area of peppers and greatly increased the output. It can provide 5,000 tons of high-quality Dahongpao Sichuan peppers to domestic and foreign markets every year.
